The
Assumption Catholic School Foundation
(ACS) is a separate and distinct integrated auxillary of Assumption
Catholic School that was organized to serve the needs and
interests, and to support the programs and activities of the
school. The ACS Foundation is operated as a nonprofit organization
following generally the provisions of RCW 24.03 (the Washington
Nonprofit Corporation Act), and RCW 24.44 (The Uniform Management
of Institutional Funds Act). The purposes of the ACS Foundation
are exclusively charitable within the meaning of Section 501(c)
(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The
ACS Foundation manages both endowed and non-endowed funds
and makes appropriate distributions of those funds for the
benefit of Assumption Catholic School . The Foundation has
full power and authority to accept financial donations on
behalf of Assumption Catholic School, to be administered in
accordance with the donor's intent. The Foundation currently
manages the following funds:
Support
For A Century Fund
– created to assist Assumption Catholic School in its mission
by providing long-term supplemental funding of educational
programs, extracurricular school activities and services designed
to help ensure the long-term continued existence of Assumption
Catholic School in Bellingham , WA . This fund is both endowed
and restricted, with periodic distributions to Assumption
Catholic School in accordance with the Foundation's Investment
and Spending Policies.
Educational
Enrichment Fund
– created to provide Assumption Catholic School with non-endowed,
unrestricted supplemental funding for educational programs
and services, teacher training and enrichment programs, extracurricular
activities, school facilities and equipment, etc. The fund
provides a source of discretionary funds to support and enrich
the whole school experience at Assumption Catholic School
in Bellingham , WA .
The
Assumption Catholic School Foundation is governed by a Board
of Directors who meet quarterly.
