Middle school students at Assumption Catholic School are taught in a departmentalized format with longer block of time with their homeroom teacher, where two or three subjects are integrated. Students have the opportunity to qualify for pre-algebra and algebra classes in seventh and eight grades. Middle school students at Assumption enjoy choices of uniforms to wear. Students have many co-curricular options, including chess club and Math Olympiad. Some students choose to play for WIAA teams such as cross-country, basketball, volleyball and track & field. There is also a middle school ski program at Mt. Baker, and an option to join Student Council or serve in other leadership roles. Middle school students have religion classes daily, do individual, class and school service learning projects and attend Mass or Prayer Service weekly.
