   Write a short poem about the book and illustrate it.

   Make a Dictionary of 10 new vocabulary words you learned in the book, write the definitions, guide words and parts of speech.

Make a crossword puzzle or word-find using words or characters from your book. Pass copies to your classmates.

   Make a shoe box filmstrip.

   Create a diorama to represent a part in your story.

   Rewrite the ending of the story and illustrate it. Read the original and your version to the class.
  7.   On an old but wearable Tee shirt, use colorfast markers to make a design about the book.
  8.   Make stick puppets of your favorite characters and put on a puppet show.
  9.   Design a mobile using 6 different characters or events, or both, to illustrate your book.
  10.   Make a 5-7 page picture book showing the most important parts of the story.
  11.   Design a poster to advertise your book. Write a paragraph about the highlight of the book.
  12.   Produce a book jacket that could be used for your book.
  13.   Draw a charcoal, chalk or watercolor picture of the scenery and special events in the book.
  14.   Create a collage related to the book, or a scene in the book.
  15.   Draw a cartoon strip of the most important events in the story.
  16.   Make a time-line of events in the story. Add a cover with your own design on the front.
  17.   Pick a classmate to help you put on a TV show to advertise the good qualities of your book.
  18.   Write a letter of appreciation to the author(s) of the book telling them why your like the book.
  19.   Make a map tracing a route that is highlighted in your story.
  20.   Create a mural of the book for the class bulletin board
  21.   Display souvenirs that recall special events in the book.
  22.   Build a scale model of an important object mentioned in your book.
  23.   Write a letter as if some of the characters were corresponding to each other.
