Catechism of the Catholic Church

Content: During the school year we will focus on our faith as well as our prayer life through personal prayer, group prayer and liturgies at Mass and prayer services. We will also look at the choices that we make in the context of our Christianity and our relationship and responsibility to each other.

Class Service: We will choose a class service project from the Corporal Works of Mercy (feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, bury the dead).

Service Hours: Twenty service hours are required each trimester. These must be unpaid hours. Keep a list, have parents and supervisors sign the list as hours are completed, and turn in the list to the teacher the last week of the trimester.

Class Meetings: These will take place during religion class time.

Grading: Assignments, tests, behavior and preparation will be averaged for you grade.
